As C++/Python Developer at Luceda Photonics you will work in a small but strong team, where you will play a key role in the further development of our products. You will be responsible for defining, designing and building highly technical software. You also participate in the continuous improvement of software architecture and development processes. You create quality assurance and assist application engineers in supporting the customer through the creation of customer-driven prototypes.

Luceda Photonics wants photonic IC engineers to have the same first-time-right design experience as electronic IC designers. The tools and services of Luceda Photonics are rooted in more than 50 years of experience in designing photonic integrated circuits. The expertise of the team in the development of process design kits (PDK) and the design and validation of photonic integrated circuits is used by various research institutes and industrial R&D teams worldwide. The company started as a spin-off from Imec, the photonics group of UGent and VUB.

Starting a new company in exactly those areas was a logical choice for me. Why do you have to start working here? Being able to work directly with customers at the crossroads of many technical aspects and providing them with concrete solutions is fascinating. In my spare time, I like to play (classical) music, tennis and gardening.
